Stadium Overview
American Family Field (still known as Miller Park to many Brewers fans) is a retractable roof stadium with one of the more original looks in all of MLB. An overhead view of the field may suggest its shape took a back seat to the rest of the stadium's architecture as the outfield fence follows a seemingly random path from corner to corner.

Whether intended or not, American Family Field is one of the most hitter-friendly stadiums in the league. Perhaps the most distinguishing on-field feature is how deep the corners are, which are conducive to doubles down the line. Additionally, the shallow gaps on each side of the field make for juicy home run targets. Tack on a shallower than average CF fence and the former Miller Park can be considered a very solid hitters venue.

The folks in Milwaukee try to leave the roof open as much as possible (about 57% of the time). Although wind speed can reach double digits when the roof is open, it's mostly a non-factor as the venue's tall exterior effectively insulates the playing field. Any variance in playing conditions is largely due to temperature as the roof can remain open for temps as low as 50 and as high as 90 degrees. Overall, American Family Field can be is rated 7th in MLB for variation despite little impact from the wind.
